The UK Government has responded to the continued impact that Covid-19 has had on many self-employed businesses and has taken action to provide additional support.
The Self-Employed Income Support Grant – which was due to be set at 20% of trading profits – has now been increased to 40% for the 3-month period from November 2020 to January 2021 and up to a maximum level of £3,750.
To be eligible you must:
have been previously eligible for the SEISS first and second grants (even if you didn’t claim)
declare that you intend to continue to trade and are either unable to trade due to coronavirus or have seen business reduce as a result of coronavirus
